Since Elly came back, she locked her room and stayed indoors all the time. On the other hand, the whole family began a heated discussion about whether Elly should buy the party dress. Raymond, his parents and his elder brother all argued not to buy it as they thought it a waste of money for only one time. But Debra still held her own opinion to buy Elly a party dress. The atmosphere in the family was very strange; Raymond and Debra were in a cold war. Because Debra couldn’t understand Raymond’s behavior this time. In fact, Raymond’s original intention of refusing was not money at all. What he really cared was the meaning of doing that. Because he thought it’s rediculous. Elly still hated his father and was in totally disperation. A few days later, Raymond was in a dilemma between his wife and his daughter. Debra had already thought it over. But Elly did not. So Raymond had a blame of himself and then he decided to buy the party dress in order to be a qualified father. He knocked Elly’s door time and time again. Finally, Elly opened the door and she thrown herself on the bed as if she didn’d see her father. Raymond was so poor and he tried to explain to Elly but she refused. In the end,Raymond promised to buy the party dress for her. Elly jumped up from bed and was in a churry of excitement. She told her mother this good news. But Debra was in such a confusion because she was just convinced by Raymond by his reason for not buying. It’s really an amazing decision for Debra. Then, they selected a beautiful dress from the store. Elly would like her mother to give her a make-up. So Elly was really charming on that day. Then the couple took their daughter to Peggy’s home. Elly wanted enter by herself. So she opened the door happily and the parents were also satisfied for this result. However, the condition changed in only a few seconds, Elly rushed out the house and shouted to Raymond loudly: “Daddy, I really hate you.” Raymond hadn’t made it clear. So he opened the door to have a look. To his most surprise, all children at the party wasn’t in formal dressing. Elly was the only one who weared a party dress. “Oh my god,” Raymond was so confused. At this monment his friend and Peggy saw him and went to him. ” Thank you, Ray, you saved me 150 dollars,” the man smiled. “You called up all the parents to restrained my advice. Congratulations, you won. None of them is in formal dressings.” Peggy glared at Raymond. What Raymond could do was to cry: “But nobody informed me.”
